In a bathroom the membrane decides, not the tile
Most tiling jobs that go wrong, go wrong below the surface. The wrong fall towards the drain, a membrane not carried properly up the wall, or levelling compound that was not dry before work continued. None of that is fixed by a beautiful tile.
We follow the Norwegian wet room standard, document what has to be documented, and take the time the substrate needs. That is the part of the job you will never see, and the part that decides whether the bathroom lasts twenty years.
Outside wet rooms it is more about precision: straight lines, even grout joints, and a layout planned around the room rather than around where it was easiest to start.

Levelling and fall to the drain
We build the correct fall towards the drain before the membrane goes on. Without it you get standing water on the floor no matter how watertight the membrane is.

Membrane and sealing
The membrane is carried properly up the wall and sealed around the drain and any penetrations. We use approved systems and document the work, so you have the paperwork in order for a later sale.

Tiles on floor and wall
Large format or mosaic, matt or gloss. We plan the layout before the first tile goes down, so the cuts land where they are not seen.

Kitchens and living spaces
Tiles on the floor and above the worktop give a surface that takes spills and is easy to keep clean. We match the grout colour and format to the kitchen you actually have.

Hallways and entrances
The entrance takes more wear than any other room in the house, with grit, salt and wet shoes all winter. We choose tiles and grout that can handle it.

Terraces and outdoor areas
Outdoors needs frost-resistant tiles, correct fall and grout that tolerates movement. We also lay slate and natural stone.

Replacing individual tiles
If tiles are loose or cracked, we replace them without having to strip the whole surface. We will also help track down tiles that match.

Regrouting
Discoloured, cracked grout makes a whole bathroom look old. Regrouting is a small job with a big effect, and it seals up where water has started to get in.

Removing old tiles
We strip old tiling and prepare the substrate for what comes next, whether that is new tiles, microcement or paint.
Questions about tiler
How long does it take to tile a bathroom?
A normal bathroom usually takes a week and a half to two weeks from strip-out to finished grouting, but that depends on drying times for the levelling compound and membrane. Those cannot be shortened without the quality suffering, so we build them into the plan from the start.
Do I get documentation for the wet room work?
Yes. You receive documentation of the membrane work and the products used. This is what an insurance company or a surveyor asks for, both after a possible incident and when you come to sell.
