How we work
From the first phone call to a finished job
You should never wonder what happens next, or what it will cost. Four steps, in the same order every time.

Site visit
We come to your home, look at the job and hear what you want. You get honest advice on the approach and materials, including when the cheapest option is the right one.

Quote
You get a written quote with a fixed price and a description of what is included. Nothing starts until you have said yes, and you have a contract before the first nail.

The work
We cover up, work in the right order and keep you updated as we go. If something unforeseen turns up, you hear it from us before we do anything about it.

Handover
We tidy, clean and walk through the result with you. If there is anything you want adjusted, we put it right before we invoice.
About us
The same people from site visit to final coat
We are a small craft firm in Oslo, run by the people who do the work themselves. With over 20 years in the trade and more than 1000 completed projects, there are few situations we have not stood in before. The person who comes out for the site visit is also the one who follows the project through, so you never have to explain the same thing twice.
Our customers tend to bring up the same things: that we turn up when we said we would, that the price holds, and that it is tidy when we leave. There is no secret behind it. It comes down to good preparation and doing things in the right order.

Boligoppussing, innendørsmaling og gulvreparasjon
Vi skulle male en leilighet i Oslo på kort varsel, midt i fellesferien, og firmaet leverte nøyaktig det de lovet, til avtalt tid og pris. Han oppdaget flere uoverensstemmelser i planen fra stylisten vår og fikk det rettet opp. Han tenker selv, og sier fra når noe ikke stemmer.

Jeg vil på det varmeste anbefale Maler Firma & Entreprenør AS. Jeg er utrolig fornøyd med resultatet. De leverte et fantastisk bra arbeid, dukket opp nøyaktig som avtalt og holdt tidsfristene. Kommunikasjonen var ryddig og profesjonell hele veien, og i tillegg er de utrolig hyggelige folk.

Vi er superfornøyde med jobben som ble gjort! Fra første stund var det god flyt i kommunikasjonen, og de var både trivelige, effektive og nøye. Lettveggene ble akkurat sånn vi så for oss. Hubert og co gjorde en kjempejobb med å slipe parketten, bytte lister og male vegger, tak og dører i hele leiligheten. Den så like fin ut som da vi flyttet inn i nybygget for 25 år siden. Raskt og ordentlig utført. Lett å kommunisere med.

What does a site visit cost?
The site visit is free and comes with no obligation. We come to your home, look at the job, advise on the approach and materials, and send you a written quote afterwards. Whether you go ahead is entirely up to you.
How quickly can you start?
We reply to enquiries the same day, and can usually arrange a site visit within a few days. When we can start depends on the size of the job and how full the calendar is, but smaller jobs can often be taken on at short notice.
Do I get a fixed price or an hourly bill?
You get a written quote with a fixed price before we start, so you know what the job costs. If something unforeseen turns up along the way, we raise it with you and agree before any work is done. No surprises on the invoice.
Which areas do you work in?
We are based at Haugmannsveien 16 in Oslo and take on work across Oslo and the surrounding area, including Bærum, Asker, Lillestrøm, Lørenskog and Nordre Follo. If you are unsure whether we come to you, just call.
Can you take the whole job, not just the painting?
Yes. We are painters, carpenters and tilers, and as a general contractor we also coordinate the plumber and electrician. That gives you one contract and one point of contact through the whole project, instead of managing several firms yourself.
Do you clean up afterwards?
Yes. We cover up before we start, keep things tidy as we go, and hand back a room you can move straight into. We always walk through the result with you at handover, so you can say if anything needs adjusting.
Do you invoice with VAT for insurance or tax purposes?
We always issue an itemised invoice with VAT, which is what you need as documentation towards an insurance company, a housing association, or for a later sale. We are happy to describe the work in writing if you need it.
